Sea-air from Vietnam: faster than sea, more affordable than air
How PAM Cargo moves cargo by ocean to a transshipment hub, then flies it to destination, booked as one service.
When speed matters but the freight budget is fixed, shippers usually have to choose between a slow ocean transit and an expensive flight. Sea-air sits between the two: the ocean carries the cargo most of the way, and air freight covers the last stretch.
Two modes, one booking
- Booking and confirmation. You book by phone or online. We confirm the sailing and reserve onward air space at the same time.
- Sea leg. Cargo leaves Vietnam by ocean, consolidated so it travels at sea-freight cost.
- Transshipment hub. At an intermediate hub the cargo moves from vessel to aircraft and is re-documented in transit.
- Air leg. The final stretch flies, cutting days off a full ocean transit.
- Clearance and delivery. Priority customs handling at destination, then delivery to your buyer and a follow-up once it lands.
What it changes for a shipper
- Time. Transit up to 50% shorter than ocean freight on the same lane.
- Cost. Up to 30% lower than standard air freight.
- Flexibility. Routings can be adjusted to avoid congested ports and airports.
- Emissions. Most of the distance travels by sea, so CO₂ is far lower than a full air shipment.
Our team builds each sea-air routing around your cargo, your deadline and your buyer's location. Tell us the lane and we will propose the hub and schedule that fit.
